Johannes and Alex have played in various bands together such
as Dånzen Jetzt (Klangkrieg), Shakti-Maan and Chlorgeschlecht
(Deco). They also work as sound designers for animation films.
Transformer di Roboter is named after the Italian version of
a popular 80's toy - and that's what Transformer is mainly about
: Already existing hits are altered, modulated, turned upside
down and put into a complete new sound shape. Weired though
catchy tracks, hits themselves, are born, intending to show
what this hit thing is really about. Transformer is fascinated
by how interchangeable contents and concepts in pop culture
really are. Original Transformer tracks are disguised as cover-songs,
so that the best of Bob Ross' lines form his tv show are processed
into pop-cover-song-format. Transformer di Roboter loves to
play live and thinks that it's best not to get all too theoretical
stuff and about things.
